A Small River With a Big Story
The Muhuri River also known as the Little Feni is a transboundary river flowing from the Lushai Hills of Tripura, India, into Bangladesh, where it passes through Parshuram in Feni district and eventually merges with the Feni River near the Bay of Bengal.
Although not one of the countryโs largest rivers, the Muhuri plays an outsized role in shaping life along its banks. It forms a natural boundary between Feni and Chittagong districts, supports agriculture, and influences local ecosystems. Its waters are essential for irrigation, fishing, and daily life in the surrounding communities
